Marivo 0.4.12
Marivo 0.4.12 makes evidence combination and recovered-artifact checks fail closed, adds execution-time semantic authority admission, and keeps Trino quantile attribution on native aggregates.
Highlights
Section titled “Highlights”- session.evidence.compatibility(…) provides one selection-wide, read-only check before Findings are combined. It evaluates governed subject and scope identity, current semantic authority, evidence status, quality, epistemic kinds, and operator inference boundaries, returning bounded typed issues instead of defaulting unknown cases to compatible.
- session.revalidate(frame) verifies a recovered Artifact’s persisted identity, evidence, and current scoped semantic authority without changing the Artifact or querying datasource health. Its admissible, stale, and indeterminate states make the recovery decision explicit.
- Artifact-consuming capabilities now declare whether they require semantic_current authority or only materialized_only committed values. Confirmed drift and unprovable authority produce typed errors with concrete repairs, while materialized-only reducers, transforms, projections, and terminal reads retain their valid continuations.
- Trino median and percentile attribution now replays intermediate coalitions with native approx_percentile over selected and baseline rows. Independently observed endpoints still provide exact reconciliation while source approximation error remains explicit.
Changed
Section titled “Changed”- Evidence scopes use a closed set of metric, Event, Lifecycle, and SubjectSet variants, with canonical authority normalization shared by compatibility, revalidation, and operator admission.
- The evidence store contract is aligned with the current schema v4 and persisted authority paths. Corrupt identity, unavailable stores, and unprovable authority are kept distinct and fail closed.
- Focused analysis help and API documentation now expose evidence compatibility, Artifact revalidation, authority policies, and their typed recovery contracts.
- Trino percentile attribution no longer reconstructs coalition distributions through QDigest merging; it uses the admitted native aggregate path.
- Trino median lowers through the same APPROX_PERCENTILE(0.5) contract as percentile, keeping observe and attribution semantics consistent.
- Artifact-bearing operators reject confirmed stale dependencies or unknown authority before execution instead of silently relying on outdated evidence.
Documentation
Section titled “Documentation”- Added the bilingual Evidence Engine design article and diagrams.
- Updated the analysis evidence, recovery, semantic authority, and quantile attribution documentation to match the runtime contracts.
